The Masons

There is the high-level masonic lodge not too far from the Hancock building downtown facing the same small park as the old private geneaology etc. Library. (thank you to R. Craig Blasdell) Another source of what I consider “pagan” roots is the Masons. They have had a presence in Chicago since the founding in the 1830’s. I’m sure everyone has seen their temple downtown, it was once the tallest building in the city: (thank you to Aaron Stracke)
