Goddess Festival 2010

Goddess Festival 2010

This year's main ritual and theme was Sirius, Star of Isis.  Its main deities are Isis and Osiris. This ritual is about the meaning of the twin soul, and how to recognize and commune with it.  It offers further preparation for entering the coming age.

Goddess Festival 2010 took place on Saturday, October 2, 2010.  It was preceded by a reception in honor of Lady Olivia Robertson on Friday, October 1, and followed by related activities on Sunday, October 3.  This year, Gisela kranz and Lady amber Dawn were consecrated as Adeptae of the Fellowship of Isis.

Program 2010:
9:00 a.m.: Doors open for registration, breakfast, and meditation at the Altar of Sirius
10:00 a.m.: Procession, clearing ceremony by members of Iseum Sekhet Aaru, calling of the quarters, opening, introductions, and blessings by FOI priesthood and assembly
10:30 a.m.: Orientation to this year's liturgy, and FOI updates. We began with a "Sothis Meditation" led by Kiel Ankh-Nem-Ti-Ra, which was followed by a discussion of twin souls, synchronous astrological events, other highlights of the main liturgy, what's happening with FOI around the world, and more.  A special section included "Greetings From Berlin," by Gisela Krans and Judit Lichtenberg. They talked about FOI activities in Europe, with emphasis on Germany and especially Berlin.

Let the sounds of the Ancient Goddesses take you on a journey of transcendent healing, beauty, and understanding. There was a meditation and guided visualization at 7 pm.  Festing and fellowship followed the meditation  The reception took places at the Lyceum of Alexandria, 3334 W. Eastwood Ave., Chicago 60625.

The venue for the 2010 Annual Equinox Goddess Festival was Life Force Arts Center at 3148 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago, Illinois.

We encourage our FOI members and friends to actively participate in The Goddess Festival by doing a presentation related to the theme.  It is a pleasure getting to know more about our wise and talented membership in this way, and it makes the day very special and exciting for all in attendance.
