Lyceum of Alexandria
The Lyceum of Alexandria is dedicated to the ideals of the ancient city of Alexandria in Egypt. Similar to the ancient Alexandria, the city of Chicago is situated on the shores of an inland sea. Its diversity includes people and religons from all over the world. Chicago is the home of the Council for the Parliament of the World's Religions, and it was here that in 1993 Lady Olivia Robertson stood on the stage as one of the first 8 organizatuions that signed on to the Parliament, represented the Fellowship of Isis along with other global earth religions, and offered the blessing of Isis to the world.
The Lyceum offers guidance through the Fellowship of Isis Magi Degrees. There is also a curriculum leading to ordination within the Fellowship of Isis.
The Lyceum is now called the Lyceum of Alexandria Mishigami. Our founder, Rt. Rev. Deena Celeste Butta, has passed away, and her husband, Rt. Rev. Ray Butta, has withdrawn from active participation. The lyceum is currently administered by Rev. Demetria Nanos.
