Goddess Festival 2014
The 21st Annual FOI Chicago Autumn Goddess Festival * Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014 * 9 – 10 AM Registration * 10 AM – 7 PM Festival * The liturgy that will be celebrated at the 2014 FOI Chicago Autumn Goddess Festival is "The Awakening of the Golden Phoenix", from the Melusina liturgy booklet. This is the last festival liturgy that our late Hierophant-Archpriestess Deena Butta selected before her untimely death in early 2013. It ties in with the first of the FOI Conventions and Goddess Festival liturgies celebrated in Chicago that began with “Initiation of the Pylons” in 1994. Several liturgies from this booklet have been celebrated at the Goddess Festival since then, including a series of three beginning with "The Descent of the White Eagle" in 2006. The 2012 Goddess Festival liturgy, “Magical Journey to Aquila & Lyra”, featured the goddesses Nu Kua (Nu Wa) and Hsi Wang Mu, who are also featured with Kwan Yin and Amaterasu-opo-mi-Kami in, “The Awakening of the Golden Phoenix”. Deena thought it would be good to have a thread of connection for the Goddess Festivals and the spiritual energies we are working with. This festival is dedicated to Deena and her vision for our continuity in FOI Chicago. Thanks to Joan Forest Mage for her help with the information for the Goddess Festival! Thanks to Life Force Arts Center in Chicago for their help and support! "The Awakening of the Golden Phoenix" is the second liturgy on the table of contents for the Melusina booklet. It can be found for reading or download here: http://www.fellowshipofisis.com/liturgy/mel2.pdf *********************************************************************** If you have a presentation you would like to offer, please let us know.
