The Goddess Convention

Autumn ... It is a time when Fellowship of Isis members from around the world can come together as spiritual family...to celebrate, connect, and participate in ritual together. The annual gathering takes place every year close to the time when the Eleusinian Mysteries were celebrated in the ancient world.   We call it "The Equinox Goddess Convention" in honor of The Goddess and of this holy season.

Update:Workshops at the FOI Chicago Goddess Convention 2015

Workshops and Talks at the 2015 FOI Chicago Autumn Goddess Convention "Sekhmet: Goddess of Transformation Through Ecstatic Awareness", will be presented by Althea Northage-Orr, head of the Chicago Hermetic Fellowship and Transformational Techniques. http://www.transformationaltechniques.com/ The talk/workshop will focus on the Sekhmet story and its meanings, elucidating how she is one of the earliest Tantric/Warrior/Healing Goddesses. Rev. Vince Hawkins will offer a talk on "The Gods, Angels, And Humankind - Spiritual Energy of the Now"; and a workshop on "Pagan Church Organization & Management" Vince will also present the first part of the Abundance & Prosperity rite at this convention. Rev. Anna Applegate will present a workshop on "The Four Sons of Heru", the four Egyptian gods we see on the canopic jars. Rt. Rev. Demetria Nanos will present a brief talk on "The Influence of Egyptian Symbols in Some Recent Pop Culture Art", a non-comprehensive survey with mentions and examples from the Grateful Dead, "Yugi-Oh!" and other animation, modern apparel, some divination sets plus Tarot, and a bit more. Demetria will also present (if there's time) a short talk on Egyptian Symbols, hieroglyphs, and how they connect various deity forms. There's more to come!
